Praying Hands Kiddie Center uses an academic system that seeks to holistically develop its students in several key aspects including concepts, values, life-skills, songs, plays, stories and worthwhile experiences. By striking a balance between each element, the school prepares its students to become conscientious, responsible individuals and upstanding citizens of the Philippines.
PHKCI adopts, as required , the Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013 (K-12 Law) Republic Act No. 10533, otherwise known as K-12 Curriculum of DepEd. In addition to this, PHKCI incorporates play-based curriculum, digital technology and biblical principles to holistically develop learners with 21st century skills and raise God-fearing leaders.
PHKCI adopts the computation required by DepEd in the K-12 Curriculum; components in the computation include – written, performance and quarter test. The grading system is averaging.
Selection of Honors
DepED Order No. 36, s. 2016 is adopted in the selection of honors. Academic excellence award is given to learners who meet the following cut-off grades.
98-100 – With Highest Honors
95-97 – With High Honors
90-94 – With Honors
Co-curricular and Extra-curricular Program
Pupils are encouraged to actively join co-curricular and extra-curricular activities to fully develop God-given talents and skills. Co-curricular programs are activities integrated with the lessons like educational trips, encounter God retreat, Nutrition-Sci Month, English & Math contests, Linggo ng Wika, Bibo Kid etc while extra-curricular activities enhance socialization, confidence and positive attitude and behaviour towards schooling, others and life in general like Camp Night, Dance Night, Love Day, Child@Pray, Thanksgiving Day etc. Both programs are facilitated by organizations/groups like boy and girl scouts, supreme student council, rondalla ensemble, special music class and dance troupe.
